About Vance and Emilee Nardin
We are Vance and Emilee Nardin, and we are the owners of West Nash Fit Body Boot Camp!
Emilee: I am a wife, a mother of four, an RN, and a Fit Body Boot Camper! I grew up spending time between Hermitage, TN with my father, and rural West Michigan with my mother. I was always active, played sports in school, and loved (and still love) spending time outdoors. Once I got to college, I became completely hooked on fitness and learning all I could about nutrition! After college, I married my husband Vance and started a family. I began working as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and had four beautiful children over the course of the next six years. With each of my pregnancies, I gained roughly fifty pounds, leading to nearly 200 pounds gained and lost over six years! I dug deep and used what I had learned about fitness and nutrition to shed my baby weight. I also started helping other mothers to get back into pre-baby shape as well. This was great until I developed postpartum depression and anxiety with my fourth baby. I completely lost sight of not only who I used to be, but also any interest in fitness and nutrition. My husband knew that fitness was essential to my mental health, and he encouraged me to become a member at our local Fit Body Boot Camp. I was nervous and hesitant as I walked into my first session, but by the end of that 30 minutes I knew that I was on the right track to finding the path back to myself. I cannot emphasize enough the impact that Fit Body Boot Camp has had on my journey back to wellness, especially as a woman. I lost all of my baby weight and more, got into the best shape of my life, formed lasting friendships, and most importantly, found a community of people who wanted to support, encourage, and lift each other up while all walking their own paths to health and wellness.
Vance: I am the husband of an amazing woman and the father of 4 beautiful children. I was born in Grand Rapids, MI and have always enjoyed playing sports and being active. I played baseball and football at East Kentwood High School, and Baseball at Hope College. I have always found a sense of accomplishment from pushing myself further than I thought possible. I met my beautiful wife in college, and married her soon after. We had our first baby and I took a demanding job in Yuma, AZ. I let go of my physical discipline to focus on my career because I thought that is what has to happen as you progress through life. I achieved a series of promotions and relocations, but I was dissatisfied with my physical well-being, which affected me mentally (though I didn’t necessarily know at the time). I tried and failed to stay disciplined with diet and exercise at “big box” gyms until my wife was introduced to Fit Body Boot Camp by a friend. I saw the passion that she had, and the need that she had for her own well-being and thought that I would give it a try to show her support. I was nursing a partially torn PCL at the time and thought that my days of playing horsey with my kids and sitting comfortably on my knees were over. I am happy to say that through Fit Body Boot Camp, I have totally regained full function of my knee, spend plenty of time wrestling with my children, and am in the best shape both mentally and physically that I have been in since my early 20’s. I am so very excited to bring this results driven, client focused FBBC lifestyle to West Nashville!
