Geneva here your certified Fitness Trainer, Fat Loss & Weight Management Expert and I’m excited you have found my Fit Body Bootcamp website!
I have been involved in this wonderful thing call ‘fitness’ for over twenty-five years now….and let me tell you, being involved in fitness all these years has drastically improved and changed my life, my well-being and my total outlook on how look and feel about myself.
However, growing up I was not considered a ‘fit or athletic’ type person. The only type of structured exercise program I participated in growing up was the physical education program we had in school and that was only because it was a requirement.
The reason I never participated any other form of physical activity was because I was so thin, I always had a problem with the dislocation of my shoulders every time I got involved in something that was physical…..anything that involved me using my arms in a throwing, swinging, pulling or pushing motion, my shoulder(s) always came out of socket. That really frustrated me because I knew my arms were weak, but I didn't know exactly what I needed to do to strengthen them. I thought that was the makeup of my body!
As a result, I was never good at any type of sporting activity or anything physical, I just shied away from it and accepted this was my fate. As a result I thought I was not meant to be the physically fit person I always wanted to be.
Then at the age of twenty-five, with the help of a personal trainer, I learned that the lack of strength in my arms was due to muscle weakness. The personal trainer developed a strength training program initially to build strength in my arms and shoulders and since we saw amazing results in a short amount of time, a full body strength training program was designed and nine months later I competed in my first body-building contest and won!
I went on to compete competitively on the amateur level for the next three years and this transformative experience and discipline lead to my passion to assist individuals achieve real, lasting and powerful results from a healthy and fit lifestyle!
Now, for over twenty-five years I have enjoyed assisting individuals from all walks of life be active, healthy and fit therefore completely transforming their overall health well-being enabling them to - Feel Better, Look Good, and Live Longer!
